The List & Segments feature in Retainful allows you to organize your audience effectively by creating customized contact lists. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to create a list in Retainful, add contacts using conditional filters, and manage your audience for targeted marketing campaigns.

Step 1: Log in to your -> Audience.

Step 2: In the Audience section, click on the ‘List’ tab and click on ‘Create List’

Step 3: Give a name to your list and click on ‘Create List’.

Step 4: Now, you can add contacts to the list using the 'Add by conditions' filter.

Add contacts by filter

To add contacts by the filter, you need to click on the option ‘Add by conditions’. Then, you will be redirected to a page where you can use conditional filters to create a curated list of contacts that match the conditions.

Click on ‘Add condition group’ to find the conditional filter rules. Select the rule of your choice and apply the filter.

For example, if you would like to create a list of contacts who have subscribed to receive emails, you can set up the filter rules like the below,

NOTE: You can also use multiple conditional filter rules to create a list. And, you can use the AND, OR conditions to combine filter rules within a filter group and between filter groups.

Click on the ‘View matched contacts’ button to find the contacts who match the filter rules.

Now, you will see a list of contacts that match the conditional filter rules. You can click on the ‘Add selected contacts’ button on the right side to add all the available contacts to the list.

If you would like to select and add any particular contact, you can use the 'search and add' option.

Now, your list should be ready.

That’s all required. You have successfully created a list.

Creating a list in Retainful is a straightforward process that enables you to segment your audience and personalize your marketing efforts. With your list successfully created, you are now ready to connect with your audience effectively and enhance your retention strategies.
