A dynamic coupon code is a unique, auto-generated discount code for new customers as part of a welcome email.
It creates a personalized shopping experience and encourages first-time purchases.
A static coupon code is a single, pre-defined discount code that remains the same for all customers.
A dynamic coupon code is a unique code generated for each customer, ensuring one-time use and better tracking of redemption.
To attract new visitors, static coupon codes can be displayed in welcome popups. These codes are pre-set and do not change per customer. For example, "WELCOME10" for a 10% discount.

Log in to your Retainful account.
Navigate to the "Automation Workflows" section.
Select the "Welcome New Customers" template or create a workflow from scratch.
Enter the Name of the automation
You can find the ‘Trigger’ at the top of the workflow. The trigger lets you determine when a customer can enter into the workflow.
The Trigger is configured to activate when a user subscribes and is added to the list, initiating their entry into the workflow.
When you click on the ‘Trigger,’ you will get a chance to visualize the trigger settings.
Choose a List
Select the list (e.g., New Subscribers) that you have defined in the audience list step.
Customize Trigger Rules
These rules allow you to refine how the workflow is triggered.

Locate the Email Block within your automation workflow.
Click on the block to open the Edit Email section.
Customize the email details, including:
Subject Line: Create an engaging subject line.
Sender Email Address: Add the email address recipients will see.
Email Content: Design the email using the editor. Add text, images, buttons, and dynamic placeholders as needed.

Use the "Preview" feature in the Retainful email editor to check the layout and coupon code functionality.
Send a test email to yourself or your team to ensure everything is working correctly.
