Connecting Retainful with Active Campaign

You can integrate ActiveCampaign with your Retainful account to automatically add email addresses captured by Retainful into your ActiveCampaign list.&#x20;

This integration helps keep your customer data up-to-date and ready for email campaigns.

**Things You Need Before Integrating ActiveCampaign:**

Before you integrate ActiveCampaign with Retainful, make sure you have the following:               &#x20;

**CHECKLIST:**

* **ActiveCampaign Account**\
  You need an active ActiveCampaign account to complete the integration.
* **A Mailing List in ActiveCampaign**\
  You should have a mailing list created in ActiveCampaign where you will sync your contacts. &#x20;

## Step 1: Login in ActiveCampaign

1. Log in to your **ActiveCampaign** account&#x20;
2. In the bottom left corner, click on your **profile icon**.

3. Select **"Settings"**
4. On the settings page, go to the **"Developer"** tab.

## Step 2: Get API Access & Key

1. Click on **"API Access"**.

2. Copy the **API URL & Key** displayed on this page.

## Step 3: Connecting Active Campaign - Retainful&#x20;

1. Log in to your **Retainful** account.
2. Go to the **"Integrations"** section from the Retainful dashboard.

3. Find and select **ActiveCampaign** from the list of available integrations.

4. Paste the **API Key** you copied from ActiveCampaign into the provided field in Retainful.
5. Click **"Connect"** to link your ActiveCampaign account with Retainful.

## Step 4: Verify the Connection

Once you have connected ActiveCampaign, it will appear under the **"Connected Apps"** section in Retainful. This confirms that the integration is successful and ready for use.

You can now proceed to select your mailing list.

## How to Integrate Active Campaign in Automation Workflow

You can easily sync customer data to ActiveCampaign through your Retainful automation workflow. Follow these steps:

#### Check the Connection

* Make sure ActiveCampaign is connected to Retainful.
* Go to the **"Integrations"** section in Retainful and check if it appears under **"Connected Apps"**

#### Open the Workflow

* Go to the **"Automation"** section in Retainful.
* Open the workflow where you want to add ActiveCampaign.

#### Choose Active Campaign

#### Select the List

Choose the ActiveCampaign list where you want to sync your customers.

#### Save and Activate

Save the workflow and activate it to start syncing customer data automatically.
