Connecting Retainful with Active Campaign

You can integrate ActiveCampaign with your Retainful account to automatically add email addresses captured by Retainful into your ActiveCampaign list.

This integration helps keep your customer data up-to-date and ready for email campaigns.

NOTE: This feature is available exclusively for upgraded plans in Retainful.

Things You Need Before Integrating ActiveCampaign:

Before you integrate ActiveCampaign with Retainful, make sure you have the following:

CHECKLIST:

• ActiveCampaign Account You need an active ActiveCampaign account to complete the integration.

• A Mailing List in ActiveCampaign You should have a mailing list created in ActiveCampaign where you will sync your contacts.

Step 1: Login in ActiveCampaign

1. Log in to your ActiveCampaign account

2. In the bottom left corner, click on your profile icon.

1. Select "Settings"

2. On the settings page, go to the "Developer" tab.

Step 2: Get API Access & Key

1. Click on "API Access".

1. Copy the API URL & Key displayed on this page.

Step 3: Connecting Active Campaign - Retainful

1. Log in to your Retainful account.

2. Go to the "Integrations" section from the Retainful dashboard.

1. Find and select ActiveCampaign from the list of available integrations.

Paste the API Key and URL

1. Paste the API Key you copied from ActiveCampaign into the provided field in Retainful.

2. Click "Connect" to link your ActiveCampaign account with Retainful.

Step 4: Verify the Connection

Once you have connected ActiveCampaign, it will appear under the "Connected Apps" section in Retainful. This confirms that the integration is successful and ready for use.

You can now proceed to select your mailing list.

How to Integrate Active Campaign in Automation Workflow

You can easily sync customer data to ActiveCampaign through your Retainful automation workflow. Follow these steps:

Check the Connection

• Make sure ActiveCampaign is connected to Retainful.

• Go to the "Integrations" section in Retainful and check if it appears under "Connected Apps"

Open the Workflow

• Go to the "Automation" section in Retainful.

• Open the workflow where you want to add ActiveCampaign.

Edit the Automation

Add ActiveCampaign Block

Add a New Block in the automation for sync

Select Integration

NOTE Active Campaign will appear as an option only after successfully connecting it within Retainful.

Select the List

Choose the ActiveCampaign list where you want to sync your customers.

Save and Activate

Save the workflow and activate it to start syncing customer data automatically.
