Connecting Retainful with MailChimp

This guide explains integrating Retainful, an email marketing app, with Mailchimp, a leading email marketing tool. By connecting the two, you can automatically transfer customer data, manage your mailing lists, and streamline your email marketing campaigns effortlessly.

## Follow the Steps to Integrate MailChimp to Retainful&#x20;

## Step 1: Login in MailChimp Account

Go to the Mailchimp dashboard

## Step 2: Navigate to MailerLite API Key Section

1. Select "**Profile**”

2. Choose the "**Extras**" option > Your API Keys.

3. Click "**Create API Key"** > Generate Keys
4. Provide a name to generate the key

5. Copy the API key by clicking the "**Copy to Clipboard button**"

## Step 3: Log in to your Retainful account & connect to MailChimp

1. Go to the Retainful dashboard and log in to your account.
2. Go to the "**Integrations**" section in Retainful.

3. Select MailChimp from the list of available integrations.
4. Paste the API key you copied from MailChimp into the provided field in Retainful.

5. Click "**Connect**" to link your MailChimp account with Retainful.

## Step 4: Verify the Connection

Once you have connected MailChimp, it will appear under the **"Connected Apps"** section in Retainful. This confirms that the integration is successful and ready for use.

You can now proceed to select your mailing list.

## How to Add Mailchimp Integration in Automation Workflow

You can easily sync customer data to Klaviyo through your Retainful automation workflow. Follow these steps:

#### Check the Connection

* Make sure Mailchimp is connected to Retainful.
* Go to the **"Integrations"** section in Retainful and check if it appears under **"Connected Apps"**

#### Open the Workflow

* Go to the **"Automation"** section in Retainful.
* Open the workflow where you want to add Mailchimp.

#### Choose MailChimp

#### Select the List

Choose the MailChimp list where you want to sync your customers.

#### Save and Activate

Save the workflow and activate it to start syncing customer data automatically.
