Discount coupons play a crucial role in driving sales. You could encourage customers to resume their abandoned purchases by offering them a discount coupon.
Retainful allows you to add coupon blocks to your abandoned cart email templates easily using its intuitive drag-and-drop editor.
This guide explains how you can add a coupon discount block to your cart recovery email templates.
Adding a dynamic coupon block on your email template
Step 1: Login to your Retainful dashboard
Step 2: Go to ‘Automation’ -> Edit your abandoned cart recovery workflow
If you have not created an abandoned cart recovery workflow yet, you can create one by following this guide.
Step 3: In the automation workflow builder, click on the ‘Email’ block -> Edit Email Contents.
Now you will be redirected to the drag-and-drop email editor.
You can add the dynamic coupon block by following the below instructions,
The coupon block can be found on the right-hand side under the Store Elements block.
2. Drag the “Dynamic coupon” and drop the indicated block on your mail template's body.
Note: Post adding the coupon code, edit the text block as per your discount conditions.
3. Click on the shortcode {{retainful_dynamic_coupon}} on your email template.
4. On the right-side panel, you will see the coupon settings.
5. Select the coupon type in the right-side panel.
6. Enter the coupon value and expiry (in days).
Optional: You can enter a minimum order value required for using the dynamic coupon in the 'Applies to order above' field.
6. Make sure to click on the “Save” button to save the coupon settings.
Note: After configuring the coupon block, edit the text block as per your discount conditions.
Make sure that you save the template.
That’s it. We have now set up the discount coupon for the abandoned cart email template.
Your customers can claim these discount coupons by clicking on the "Shop Now" button found below the coupon code.
