Adding a Coupon Block to Your Email Template

Learn how to add a coupon block in the abandoned cart recovery email template for WooCommerce

Make your emails more engaging by adding a coupon block. This lets you offer discounts to your customers, encouraging them to shop. Here’s a simple guide to help you add and customize a coupon block in your Retainful email editor.

Adding a dynamic coupon block on your email template

Step 1: Login to your Retainful dashboard

Step 2: Go to ‘Automation’ -> Choose any Workflow > Edit the chosen workflow

Step 3: In the automation workflow builder, click on the ‘Email’ block -> Edit Email Contents.

Now you will be redirected to the drag-and-drop email editor.

You can add the dynamic coupon block by following the below instructions,

1. The coupon block can be found on the right-hand side under the Store content block.

1. Drag the “Coupon” block and drop the indicated block on your mail template's body.

2. Click on the shortcode {{retainful_dynamic_coupon}} on your email template.

3. On the right-side panel, you will see the coupon settings.

4. Select the first coupon setting option to use the coupon code from the Coupon Step

NOTE: After configuring the coupon block, edit the text block as per your discount conditions

Make sure that you save the template.

That’s it. We have now set up the discount coupon for the abandoned cart email template.

Your customers can claim these discount coupons by clicking on the "Complete Purchase" button found below the coupon code.
