Automation Trigger Settings
Learn how the trigger settings works in automation
An automation trigger is an initial input that kicks off the activation of an automated workflow. In a sense, an automation trigger is, the first step in automation. You can use automation triggers to start a sequence of emails or actions (or both!) depending on your email marketing strategy. We'll explain the use of each automation trigger and include examples to help you use them.

Trigger Setup

Flow Trigger:

This is where the customers will enter the workflow when they place a successful order with your store. And if you have set any rules or restrictions for the workflow then the customer would only enter the workflow if they meet or match the same. With the Trigger node you have the possibilities to set the Trigger rules, customer rules and the Exit rules. Let us see each rules here:

Trigger Rules:

To set the Trigger rule click on the Trigger node->Trigger Rules option at right side->Add rule. Now the following rules would be listed: ‌
1.Order Total: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on the order total then you may choose this rule and select the condition you wish to imply like Order total is, is not, greater than or equal to or less than or equal to.

2. Language: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on specific language then you may choose this rule and select the condition you wish to imply like language is or language is not.
3.Currency: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on specific Currency then you may choose this rule and select the condition you wish to imply like currency is or currency is not.
4.Order Status: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on specific Order status then you may choose this rule and select the condition you wish to imply like Order status is, is not, contains or does not contain.
5.Place Order: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on the order placed with your store you may choose this rule and select the condition Overall and choose any options from At least once, For the first time, equals, less than or equal to, greater than or equal to.
6.Product Name: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on specific Product name then you may choose this rule and select the condition you wish to imply like contain or does not contain.
7.Product ID: If you wish to let the customer enter the workflow only based on specific Product ID then you may choose this rule and select the condition you wish to imply like contain or does not contain.

Customer Rules:

To set the Customer rule click on the Trigger node->Customer Rules option at right side->Add rule. Now the following rules would be listed:
1.Email: If you wish to restrict the customer based on any specific email address then you may consider selecting this and choose the condition you wish to imply like is, is not, contains or does not contain.
2.Name: If you wish to restrict the customer based on any specific Name then you may consider selecting this and choose the condition you wish to imply like is, is not, contains or does not contain.
3.Country: If you wish to restrict the customer based on any specific Country then you may consider selecting this and choose the condition you wish to imply like is or is not.
4.Signed Up: If you wish to restrict the customer based on any specific date or days from they have signed up at your store then you may consider selecting this and choose the condition you wish to imply like greater than, within, before, on or after.

Exit Rules:

The exit rule which is exclusively available for Post purchase Automation Workflow. The rule helps you to restrict the user's exit based on Order placed either from the overall workflow or Since the start of the workflow. In case you do not setup the Exit rule then the customer would exit the workflow by going in through the entire workflow.
To set the Customer rule click on the Trigger node->Exit Rules option at right side->Add rule.
You can set up the exit rules based on the number of orders placed by the customer entirely or based on the number of orders placed by the customer since the start of the workflow.
