By default, Retainful considers a cart as abandoned if the customer did not complete it in 30 minutes.
By default, a cart is considered abandoned in 30 minutes.
So if a customer started a cart, filled the email address and left the checkout at 10 am, then at 10:30 am, it will be considered abandoned
If your first email interval is set at 15 minutes, then the customer will receive the first email remainder at 10:45 am (30 minutes + 15 minutes)
Please follow the steps below to see how a customer would get your abandoned cart emails when he abandons a cart
The following conditions should be met before you start testing the emails
At least one email template in Abandoned Cart Recovery campaign should be "activated" (Set to live)
Only carts, which are added and gets abandoned after you have set an email template live, will be taken for emailing... any previous carts (those came before a template was set live) will be ignored.
Open your store front in a private / incognito window (so that you can browse like a customer)
Add an item to cart, go to checkout
Fill-in a valid email address and a first name. (TIP: Use an alternative email of yours instead of the store admin email)
Then leave the site.
You should receive the first cart recovery email at the interval you set.
