How to Test Abandoned Cart Emails

Learn how to test your abandoned cart recovery emails just like a customer

By default, Retainful considers a cart as abandoned if the customer did not complete it in 30 minutes.

Example:

  • By default, a cart is considered abandoned in 30 minutes.

  • So if a customer started a cart, filled the email address and left the checkout at 10 am, then at 10:30 am, it will be considered abandoned

  • If your first email interval is set at 15 minutes, then the customer will receive the first email remainder at 10:45 am (30 minutes + 15 minutes)
